Variable Form Example

In this example the user instructs the form which data entry points they want. A daycare centre can close throughout the year for a single day or over multiple days. In an effort to reduce the visual clutter for the user, the first field can either be used to tell us a single closure date, OR it can be used to indicate the start date of a multi-day closure. The entry is intuative, as the user first enters the closure date, and as they read down can see the checkbox option to click if the closure spans multiple days. Since the first field serves as the start date of a multi-day closure, there is no need for the user to go back and change their first entry and they can just continue on by clicking the box, then adding the last day of the multi-day closure.
